Works well, easy to use, glad we have one in hand.Great little radio for emergencies. Easy to use and very good quality sound. Only issue is that battery life is only a couple of hours and cranking the radio only gives you 3 minutes of additional radio time. Overall, a pretty good radio for the price. Flashlight is a little weak, but have other battery powered flashlights to use during a power outage. An overall disappointing product. The hand crank feature is useless as a form of power. Unless you have a machine to "hand crank" your radio (and if you have a machine that has power, why do you need to hand crank instead of plugging the radio into a power source), your arm will fall off before you generate enough power to do any good.I have tried using the solar power feature, and after three days of sitting in direct sunlight, it still hasn't fully charged. It has a weak, but adequate flashlight.According to internal documentation, the "emergency radio" will last for 15-20 minutes on a full charge. Since you'll never get a full charge with solar power or the hand crank (and the electric power is possibly out during an emergency), you had better know WHEN the emergency alert is going to broadcast and keep the radio turned off the rest of the time. Not very practical for an "emergency" radio.I really wanted to like this product. It seems of sturdy construction, but it's just not capable of what I believed at the time of purchase. Due to COVID-19 issues I was unable to return the product during the return period, so I'm stuck with it. Thankfully we're not talking a lot of money. But I would recommend anyone interested in a product of this type to spend a little more money and get the Midlands emergency radio instead. That's what I'll be doing and relegating this product to emergency flashlight status.I have gotten frustrated in this product trying the various methods to charge it and just how long it will hold a charge. I have come to the conclusion, if we ever encountered a surprise emergency, we might be trouble. It appears a wall charger charge is the best way to ensure it is ready. I had placed it on a table near the window and the charging light remained on when the sun shone through the window. So, I assumed it was maintaining charge - WRONG. The sound quality is what one might expect from an old portable transitor radio - nothing you would really want to rely upon except in an emergency...Works better than expected and charges itself easily during daylight hours.Love this little radio. Easy to use, pretty loud for the little thing but just wish the battery life was a bit longer (non solar)Take a solar battery pack with you if you can.Would recommend as an emergency, hiking, or for travel (like Hawaii)While the device is MUCH smaller than I'd imagined, it works fine. I live in an area where frequent storms occur, and blackouts are common. I think that every home should have one of these for communication, illumination, and safety. There was an extra bonus that I hadn't previously noticed: it has a tiny recharging port for Android cell phones. This is essential in emergencies. Great little gadget for an excellent price.
