This works just fine and seems to be holding up OK. Sony was always know for a quality sound and product i mean the unit works ok it just sounds kind of tinny even with the bass mode applied .The product does not suggest it has a USB drive but some of the reviews state it does and it works fine. Their is no USB port on this unit, believe me. It's frustrating to read reviews that are providing false info. If someone has a unit that does have USB drive, I sure would like to see a picture of it. There is nothing and no mention of it in the manual either. When my old boom box with AM/FM radio, CD player and obsolete cassette tape player died, I wanted a replacement without the cassette tape player, since I had long since gotten rid of all my noisy (compared to a CD) and fragile audio cassettes. This Sony unit was perfect. The USB and 3.5 mm audio auxiliary audio input jacks are not important to me, but nice to have.Since a cassette deck isn't needed, this unit is delightfully more compact and lightweight than the RCA boom box it replaced. Audio quality is first rate (as expected), with plenty of volume. The front panel control buttons work fine and are intuitive to use. The AM/FM radio is a true digital tuner, with ten memories for AM, twenty for FM. Sensitivity for both bands seems fine. Beware of other manufacturer's boom boxes claiming "digital," which can also mean imprecise analog tuning merely with a digital readout. The CD deck worked flawlessly (again as expected). The usual options for single repeat/repeat all/shuffle are available. This unit can be powered via the provided 120 VAC line cord, or six C cells. Power is drawn from the batteries only if the line cord is not plugged in.Two negatives, for this vendor, not the unit: First, it's a model ZS-PS30CP, not a ZSPS30CDAUX. Second, and contrary to the ad, it did not come with six C batteries. It did come with the advertised separate blister pack 3.5 mm-to-3.5 mm audio cable, and a Trisonic laser lens cleaner kit.I will definitely buy another one of these, when my other old-style AM/FM/CD/cassette boom box dies. Looks like Sony makes white and slate gray colored versions, too. Hopefully Amazon will expand its inventory to include those other colors.Bought this for my mom so she could have music outside while working in the yard and garden. She also wanted to tune in the local FM stations, but it doesn't get great reception in the house. The volume is okay but not great. It would work best in someone's bedroom or office, as it can't really project the sound. However, since it's so hard to find cd players any more this works great for her needs, and has the bonus of letting me add a usb drive to the side loaded with her type of music so she'll always have options.It arrived faster than stated, it is working well, has good and very loud sound, the volume goes to 30and it is very high, good clear sound and working perfectly, i have had this for 2 months and has beenusing every day since it has arrived, i have no problem, i saw someone saying that it has small buttonsbut to me they are pretty big enough to see clearly, it has very nice sound and its very clear,it is small and cute looking but has a very loud soud, i am very very satisfied with my purchase, i don't see anythingnegative about this product,the price is reasonable, i saw same thing on best buy website for $ 100.00, it is very cute having a pretty loud volume, clear sound and light weight, i do not know what else to expect,Pros - Clear sound Loud volume Light weight Very good lookingCons- NoneFait ce qui est décrit - et rien de plus. On aime le MP3 intégré (on prend une mini-clef USB pour pas que les enfants l'accroche) et le fait que la machine s'éteinge après un certain temps (très pratique pour le dodo). Très simple d'utilisation, un enfant de 5-6 ans peut s'en servir seul.Par contre il n'y a pas de réveil matin, l'écran n'est PAS rétro-éclairé (pas très pratique pour mettre le décompte sur la musique le soir une fois la lumière éteinte), le MP3 n'affiche pas le titre du répertoire/album/chanson. On a eu des ennuis au début pour le format de la clef USB qui empêchait la lecture (rien dans la documentation).Finalement, la notice d'utilisation est en anglais et en espagnol, rien en français.--> Bon son, bonne qualité, fonctions intéressantes, mais il manque des petites choses qui viennent d'habitude avec cette marque.PS: contrairement à certains critique lues sur ce site, notre lecteur mémorise bien la dernière station radio ou fichier mp3 lu, et reprend à la suivante lorsqu'on rallume l'appareilIt’s just what I needed to listen to my cassette hard to find a tape player anymore for a good price enjoying every morning with itThis is the second one I've purchased- one for the garage and one for my home office. Compact with great sound- good value for the money and easy to operate for a non-techie like me. Would highly recommend.
