Bought this product along with the Metra 95-3302 Double DIN dash kit for my daughter's 07 Pontiac G6. The packaging came with wire diagram that is easy to follow and matched the aftermarket wire harness of my Ankeway android stereo. The package came with instructions for the accessory lead red wire. Unfortunately, the instructions were difficult to interpret. Thanks to YouTuber Rynnesis, I was able to follow how the red wire connects onto an existing fuse slot using the terminal that came with the red wire. A simple illustration on the packaging would have been helpful. Otherwise I'd give this product a 5 star.I used this harness to install an aftermarket radio in my 2004 Chevy Malibu. As expected, the vehicle does not support an accessory wire directly through the harness so you have to run a separate wire to a 12V power source that turns on and off with the ignition. This was easily found under the hood of my car, but the wire supplied with the harness (red wire in picture) was too short. Not a big deal since I keep things like that around my garage, but if you don't I would recommend picking up a piece about 8-10ft long. Home Depot/Lowe's will have this and will cut to length so figure on an extra dollar or two. Using this harness causes you to lose the audible chimes (key in ignition when car is off and door is open, low gas (sound only, the light still works), etc.). You can purchase a different wire harness that will keep the chimes for $50-100 depending where you buy, but I wasn't worried about that for the extra cost. This harness also does not support the information center or settings changing (settings are not lost when the radio is removed, they just can't be changed without the radio) that the factory radio allowed for (tripometer, fuel mileage, lock/unlock default settings). However, if you keep the removal keys handy for your new radio and keep the factory radio in the trunk or garage it is not difficult to remove the aftermarket radio, disconnect this harness, hook up the factory radio to the car's harness again, change what you need to and then hook your after market radio back up. Overall, if you don't mind no chimes and no info center, this will definitely work. Just make sure you have 10ft of 14 or 16 gauge stranded wire handy to make the accessory connection.Worked great in my 2007 Malibu.....had to buy a fuse tap bcuz the power line is separate from the harness. Put it all in myself and everything went smooth......I know my way around a car, but not so much with audio. Few YouTube videos and you'll be good....This wire harness is not for 2004 Malibu Classic, the slots on plug in did not match up & neither did the wiring when compared to one another. I recieved the item on time and in good condition. I opted to hard wire my stereo in which was fairly easy. I had a wire diagram from a hanes manual for the speaker wires. There were 6 other wires that were not specified in the diagram (a local dealership with a service department provided the same limited information). I went to a local auto parts dealer that I purchase from regularly. They helped me by consulting the right wire harness & explaining how to tap into the fuse box. All you have to do is take out a non used high amp fuse (I used the 20 amp fuse for the sunroof next to the radio fuse). I used the red ignition wire & fuse tap provided by the Metra wire harness which was all I could use. The little brass clip has a tiny hole on the end, you put the tong of the fuse through this hole so the tap is running back up over the plastic part of the fuse. Then plug the fuse back in so the other end of the brass tab is sticking out when you are looking at the fuse box. Then you plug the end of the red wire onto the brass prong sticking out, run it to your red wire on your radio harness & splice it in. I chose not to return this because I wanted my stereo hooked up & I needed the red ignition wire & fuse tap to do it. The harness was not overly expensive so, oh well. I was contacted by this seller after submitting this review to try and make thing right which I think says alot about a seller. I give them 4 stars as a seller for that & the fact the product shipped on time & in good condition.Everything was perfect but I couldn't figure out where or how to attach the switched wire(red wire). It comes with the harness, but is not attached to it. In my 05' Malibu Maxx, I only had 1 factory harness and no separate switched wire. I had to connect the power and the switched wire together on my stereo's harness, and connect them both to the power wire on this harness. It works fine, but with no switched wire hooked up, the stereo doesn't ever shut off even when the keys are out. I have to take the face off the stereo to shut it off. This works as advertised but beware that it does not have the "auto on" wire in the harness. You have to know how to find an ignition source to wire it to. I used my multimeter to find another ignition wire in the center console to use for wiring. Wiring back to the fuse block on the 06 Equinox is next to impossible.Works absolutely perfectly in 2005 Chevy Cobalt! No complaints, it clips in fine, and the wiring is a pretty decent gauge. Excellent value.Works great. Fits an 06 chevy malibu even tho the package days it doesnt.Unbelievably straight forward, in all honesty if you have done an install for a Head Unit before you don't even need this. For all the first time amateurs, like me, that are/were nervous of splicing electrical wires in your car that are important use this. After switching out my Head Unit and all my speakers I would feel comfortable without this, that said if you can spare up to 30 bucks this speeds it up and keeps the install extra tidy.Be mindful too double or triple check you have the right colours in the butt connector before crimping. Trim cables when necessary to keep the install clean and mess free. When all wires are colour coded and crimped cover in electrical tape to keep things tidy. PROTIP- Tap into the sunroof fuse, this way the Head Unit will function only when key is in ignition.Installed this in a 2006 Cobalt SS with a Pioneer sub option. Didn’t lose chimes because the chime through speaker is 2007 and up. The red ignition wire needs to be tapped to the fuse panel. Unfortunately the fuse tap is a joke so I bought another one from Amazon.Fit 06 G6 perfectly. Wire colours matched the radio power supply wire colours which made soldering quickerI installed this on my 05 Cobalt, and still have all my chimes. Better than the overpriced GM Lan modules.Works well just wish it had more pins. I had to move a pin to get accessorie power
