I have no idea as to why anyone would ever give this digital thermometer less than 5 stars! If I had purchased this probe in the first place, I would not have had to go through the expense of several expensive probes which lasted 6 months or less...Taylor, Polder, Faberware, MyHomeTrendZ, I am sure there were a few more cheap China disappointments.To be fully honest, I must confess, that after 3 months of use, my Gefu stopped working, I was so angry that I e-mailed Gefu, Amazon supplied me with the info, and I took out all of my past frustrations on the company, but the customer service person on the other end of the phone was very understanding. He apologized for my past experiences with other companies that had previously failed me (I did not expect that response). He stayed in constant communication until my new probe arrived and I could not have been more pleased. It's been over 9 months and it works like I always envisioned a digital probe should preform. The benefits include the wireless remote feature. I can be up to 200 feet away, & with the remote, know when dinner is ready!And yes, I still have his e-mail in, he asked me to keep it, in case I have any future problems with the probe, This company stands by its product,My daughter's birthday is coming up, and this will definitely be part of her birthday gift!I buy from Amazon almost exclusively, and this is the first review on a product that I have ever given (for what that's worth):)
